From 12 to 17 May 2013 and on the occasion of the celebration of World Fair Trade Day, the University of Valencia and the fair trade organisation IDEAS have organised the University Week for Fair Trade with the aim of promoting Fair Trade and responsible consumption among the University community.
University Week for Fair Trade accredited by IDEAS
The University of Valencia was accredited last February as a University for Fair Trade by the organization IDEAS, and holds this activity as part of the Sustainable Campus, particularly in the development of the Fair Trade and Responsible Consumption programme in the area of social commitment and participation.
The Fair Trade programme in Sustainable Campus aims to sensitise the university community in Fair Trade and Responsible Consumption, to apply its practices in the procurement of goods and services, to promote fair trade selling points and product diversification and to collaborate with other bodies and organisations to advance this process
