The Telefónica Ability Awards recognise good practice in leadership, accessibility, recruitment and selection, career development and training, prevention, retention and development of products and/or services to persons with disabilities.
Good practice is defined as the application of ideas, actions or processes to obtain the best results. In our case, it is the inclusion of people with disabilities in an organisation and its integration into the work undertaken.
These awards are aimed at encouraging, promoting and raising awareness of organisations about this issue, so that participants value the different activities developed for and with this group of citizens, in order to achieve the highest standards.
The University of Valencia received an award in the 2012 edition for the category of “Best public sector organisation”, which recognises the public sector organisation that who has contributed the most in a global and comprehensive manner to the development and integration of persons with disabilities.
