Description of research activity:
We are a multidisciplinary research group at the University of Valencia in the field of education methodologies and health promotion in vulnerable contexts. Our research is carried out on different topics, but always within the framework of Global Citizenship Education. We understand research as a commitment clearly linked to social transformation and therefore we use strategies that allow us to share ideas, promote dialogue and develop proposals between different partners. The lines of research that we have worked on up to now have had as their objective the study of social transformation in vulnerable contexts such as rural areas in countries with low economic development and with special attention to the study of the role of girls/women. The first activities we have carried out have been aimed at health promotion and disease prevention in these communities. All the actions carried out have had the social determinants of illness as a transversal axis. For this reason, and in order to adequately develop our research, we have opted for the creation of spaces in which joint observation and data collection and analysis are possible among all the members of the group and the...We are a multidisciplinary research group at the University of Valencia in the field of education methodologies and health promotion in vulnerable contexts. After appropriate reflection, a collective creation is carried out which will be systematically evaluated.
