  • I still don't have health insurance. What can I do?

    If you do not have international health insurance until shortly before coming to Valencia, you should send a scanned copy to incoming@uv.es as soon as you have it.  This insurance must cover at least:
    -Medical and sanitary assistance in case of accident or illness 
    -Repatriation or sanitary transport of injured or sick people 
    -Repatriation or transport in case of death 
    -Displacement of family member in case of illness or death 
    -Civil liability 
    You must prove that you have taken out the insurance by contributing: If you have made an "extension" to a pre-existing policy, ask for a certificate specifying the coverage. The UV is affiliated to OnCampus, a company specialized in insurance for the university community. From this link you can contract "online" the insurance and print the certificate.   • Does UV accept one-semester exchanges, and can I study with you during either semester?

    Yes, you can stay with us during any of the two semesters, but before applying to your university for one or the other, please check that the subjects you are interested in are either 1st semester subjects (September-January) or 2nd semester subjects (February-July).   • Where can I find the subject programmes?

    After clicking on the corresponding subject, you must follow the following steps:
    Click on "Curriculum" > click on "Check info" of the subjects you are interested in > click on "Teaching guide" > a pdf file opens with all the information about the subject.
     

  • What can I do to study as an exchange student at the University of Valencia?

    You should first find out whether your home institution has a bilateral agreement with our university for your field of studies. Furthermore, you will have to be selected by your university.   • How do I get my academic record?

    The Universitat de València has developed an online procedure so that new students with mobility grants can download their academic record free of charge. It is important that you first check in the online office that all your grades have already been published. You can request your academic record here: https://webges.uv.es/uvEntreuWeb/

  • What is the date of arrival?

    After the deadline for applications, the International Relations Service will send you an e-mail with information about the Welcome Day and other relevant dates, requirements, or activities. The Welcome Day will take place in the week before the beginning of the semester. At the beginning of the session, you will receive your Certificate of Arrival and a welcome packet. Please note: the date of delivery of the Certificate will be the date of the Welcome Day.   • Do I need a visa during my stay in Valencia?

    Citizens of Member States of the European Union and of other countries participating in the Agreement on the European Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein), remaining in Spain for more than three months as Erasmus students are required to personally request their registration in the Central Registry of Foreigners. Said application must be submitted to the Bailen police station (C / Bailen, 9 - Valencia), within three months from the date of entry into Spain, being immediately issued a certificate of registration stating the name, nationality and address of the registered person, their foreigner identity number, and the date of registration.   • Can I enrol in subjects that I am interested in but that are not related to my major?

    Erasmus and international students must take at least 50% of the subjects within the agreed areas of study specified in the bilateral agreement. Students can enrol in subjects from other study areas, provided that the number of vacancies or any other restrictions allow it. However, there is no guarantee that the student will be able to participate in courses in other areas of study prior to arrival.   • Can I register online at UV?

    Yes. Once your home institution has successfully sent us your application as an exchange student, you will receive an email with instructions on how to fill out the online application form.   • Are there any Spanish courses for exchange students at the UV?

    If you want to take Spanish courses, our Language Centre offers a special discount for international programme students. You do not need any certificate to benefit from the discount.   • How do I know if I have been accepted by UV?

    First of all, you will receive an email from the International Relations Service informing you that you have been registered in our database in accordance with your university's application. Weeks later, you will receive an email from entreu@uv.es with your password and instructions for filling out the online application form. Finally, once your application has been processed, you will be able to download your Letter of Acceptance.   • I have doubts about the credits, the subjects to study, etc. Who can answer my academic questions?

    Depending on the degree you are going to study at the UV, you will have an academic coordinator at the UV responsible for that degree who will be happy to answer your academic questions.     The teaching guides for the subjects are published on the UV website. After clicking on the desired grade, you will have to follow the following steps: Click on "Curriculum" > click on "View File" for the subject you are interested in > click on "Teaching guide" > a pdf will appear with all the information about the subject.   • How can I get my grades?

    The International Relations Service will automatically send them to your university's International Office.

  • How do I know if I have been admitted to the UV?

    You will receive an email from the UV indicating how to process the application. Once your application has been accepted, you will be able to access your Letter of Acceptance.

  • Can I enrol in subjects that interest me but do not belong to my main area of study?

    As an International Programme student, you must choose most of the subjects, at least 50%, from those belonging to the degree specified by your university in the nomination. You can enrol in subjects of different degrees to the one of the nominations unless there are no more vacancies or there are other restrictions.

  • I need to know the subjects and schedules offered by the UV.

  • Is there any Spanish language course for exchange students at UV?

    If you want to take Spanish courses, the Language Centre offers a special discount for all exchange students. You do not need any certificate to prove your status as an International Programme student. The International Relations Office sends a list of all students at the Language Centre.

  • What is the date of arrival?

    Two or three weeks after the nomination deadline, the International Relations Service will send you an email with information about the Reception Day and other relevant dates, requirements, or activities. The Reception Day will normally take place in the week before the beginning of the semester.
    At the beginning of the session, you will receive your Certificate of Arrival, a provisional student card and a welcome folder. Please note that the arrival date on the Certificate will be the date of the Reception Day.

  • Is there an online registration at the UV?

    Yes, when your home university has successfully submitted your exchange student nomination, you will receive an email with instructions on how to register online.

  • I am a functionally diverse student / I suffer from a chronic illness. Who should I contact?

  • Are there any language requirements to be accepted at the Universitat de València?

    No certification is required. However, it is advisable that candidates have a basic level before coming to the Universitat de València, given that classes are mainly given in Spanish. Catalan (Valencian) can also help you. In addition, we encourage students to register for the Language Centre's intensive courses that are organised in September before classes begin, and / or request IELC (Catalan).   • I have received an email with instructions on how to fill out the online application form. What is the deadline for submitting it?

    After being accepted, students will receive an email with their access code and instructions on how to complete the online application form. This must be done within 30 days of receiving the email.
