The director of the Chair, Pilar Alguacil, participated in a research meeting on Social Economy that was held from 4 to 6 July in Seoul, South Korea.
Titled ‘Social economy and solidarity for a peaceful and just world’, the 9th International CIRIEC Conference on Social Economy research brought together speakers form 30 countries to share their work.
This academic event aimed to create a forum for the exchanging of knowledge between academics, entrepreneurs and those in the social sector in order to learn more about reality of and the emerging trends in social and solidarity economy within the framework of the Sustainable Development Objectives, economic inequality, social and environmental transition, democracy and green transformation.
The director of the Chair of Agri-food Cooperatives, Pilar Alguacil, particpated in a workshop on the legal framework of the Social and Solidarity Economy. The professor of Financial Law at the Universitat de València shared her research on the Social Economy and services of general economic interest.
