The UV research groups (GIUV) are regulated in the 1st chapter of the Regulation ACGUV48/2013, which explains the procedure for creating new research structures. They are basic research and organizational structures that result from the voluntary association of researchers that share objectives, facilities, resources and common lines of research. These researchers are also committed to the consolidation and stability of their activity, work in groups and the capability to achieve a sustainable funding.
The research groups included in the previously mentioned Regulation are registered in the Register of Research Structures of the Universitat de València (REIUV), managed by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research. The basic information of these organisms can be found in this website.

Description of research activity: La principal actividad del grupo RIALE consiste en sentar las bases para una investigación integral de las relaciones interculturales entre España y los países de habla alemana desde la Edad Media hasta nuestros días. Nuestras investigaciones se basan en un corpus compuesto por diferentes tipos de texto especialmente relevantes para la historia de las relaciones interculturales, tales como literatura de viajes, cosmografías, enciclopedias, guías de viaje, diarios, memorias, textos periodísticos, ensayos y material filmográfico. Sobre la base de este corpus hemos publicado ya un volumen antológico, así como una larga serie de artículos y capítulos de libro. También hemos organizado diversos congresos internacionales sobre estos temas y hemos participado en encuentros similares en España y en varios países de Europa, África y América.
