Generally, the internal whistleblowing channel can be used to report any acts of corruption that affect the general interests or the management of public funds that take place at the Universitat de València. Among these acts are:

  • Irregular use or misappropriation of public funds and conduct contrary to integrity or contrary to the principles of objectivity, efficiency and full submission to the Law, such as: diversion of subsidies for purposes other than those for which they were awarded, arbitrariness that results in unequal access to scholarships, grants or public services, arbitrariness in public procurement, lack of transparency and any other form of obstruction of access to public information.
  • Conduct of Universitat de València staff that involves the use or abuse, for personal gain, of information that they might possess by reason of their duties or that results in or could result in the irregular use or destination of public funds or any other use contrary to the legal system, such as: conflicts of interest, breach of the duty of abstention and incompatibility regulations.
  • Acts or omissions that may constitute an administrative, disciplinary or criminal offence, such as: private or arbitrary use of public property and facilities, acceptance of gifts or favourable treatment by public servants, unjustified financial gain by authorities and staff of the Universitat de València derived from the exercise of their public functions.
