Kostas Karyotakis (October 30 1896, Trípoli, Greece– July 20 1928, Preveza, Greece) was one of the most representative Greek poets of the 1920s. His poetry includes many natural images and a bit of expressionism and surrealism. He commited suicide in 1928. Since he died, his work had a big influence on Greek poetry.
