The Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Vicent Soler, has opened this morning the seventh edition of the Valencia Summer School organized by the Centre.

The event counted on the participation of Claude Obadiah, speaker at seminars, of the vice-dean of international relations, Fidel León and of the organizers of the activities, professors Juan A. Sanchís and José Pla.

The dean thanked the support of the Obra Social La Caixa, of the Department of Management "Juan José Renau Piqueras" and of the Academy of International Business.

The Summer School will take place at the Faculty until Friday 29 June. It is a meeting point for researchers in different areas of economics and business, who come to train in the latest research trends.

The dean has reviewed recent editions of the Summer School and has reaffirmed its commitment to remain an academic reference in its respective areas.

The course An Introduction to Structural Equations Modelling, by Professor Obadia (Novancia Business School, Paris), started today and will run until Wednesday. The course Strategy and Internationalization, led by Professor Gabriel R.G. Benito of the BI Norwegian Business School, will be taught the next 28 and 29 of June, focusing on relationships between the headquarters and foreign affiliates of international companies.

As in previous editions the participants in the Summer School are mostly young researchers from other Spanish and European, Asian and American universities.
