The Language Policy Service administers Portuguese CAPLE tests (Centro de Avaliação e Certificação de Português Língua Estrangeira) at the levels A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. CAPLE is an official certificate attesting the level of competence in and command of Portuguese granted by the University of Lisbon.
When do tests take place?
There are different exam dates throughout the year. The University of Valencia administers the exam sessions offered in May and November.
Who can register?
CAPLE tests are open both to the university community and to the public.

- C1: € 127
- C2: € 142
University staff can ask for official language tests grants.
Where is it accepted?
CAPLE certificates are fully recognised by the University of Valencia, by the Portuguese government and by other international institutions and organisations.

One week before the date, the candidates will receive an email with all the information about the time and location of the exam.

Approximately three weeks after the results have been released on the CAPLE web page, the Language Policy Service will inform successful candidates that they can collect their certificates.
