The Xavier Gómez i Font Awards to the linguistic quality of the Undergraduate Degree and Master’s Degree Final Project in Valencian and English aim to promote the proper use of Catalan and English in the academic papers of students, to foster the academic use of Catalan and to stimulate the use of English as a tool for the internationalisation of the UV.

Linguist and professor of the Universitat de València he was notable for his active defence of the social use and multilingual values of Catalan. The UV pays him tribute devoting these awards to his memory. |
2018 Call
Recipients:
Students of the Universitat de València.
Requirements:
The Undergraduate Degree final project (TFG) and the Master’s Degree final project (TFM) have to be fully written in Catalan or English by the Universitat de València students enrolled in the TFG or TFM throughout the 2017-2018 academic year.
Deadline for submission:
Until October 15, 2017.
Prize money:
Ten prizes of 500 euros each, six of them are for projects written in Catalan and four for the ones in English. Up to five runner-up prizes of 200 euros each may be awarded when the quality and amount of works presented with a global maximum amount of 1,000 euros recommend it.
