Description
Adaptation is the procedure by which a student with studies begun but not completed in a certain degree that has been declared extinct adapts his or her transcript in such a way that the subjects already passed are transformed into the corresponding subjects in the new degree, according to Adaptation rules that establish the equivalences between them.
Scope of application
Students of the Faculty of Law who have an open academic record, i.e. who have not completed their degree studies, may apply for adaptation to the corresponding licenciatura (Spanish former undergraduate degree).
Mandatory adaptation
With the gradual introduction since the 2010/2011 academic year of the Licenciaturas in Law, Political Science and Public Administration and Criminology, the undergraduate curricula are being phased out year by year. After the end of each academic year and without prejudice to the applicable rules of continuance, four exams are held in the following two academic years.
In 2011, the Governing Council of the University added to these four exam dates a single extraordinary exam date for those students who had failed a maximum of three subjects in the course for which they had completed the official exam dates in the immediately preceding academic year.
On the other hand, and according to the Criteria for enrolment in studies in process of extinction approved by the Governing Council of the UV, a subject is considered extinct when the course in which it is located in the syllabus is extinguished. In the case of elective subjects that are not assigned to a course, these are considered to have ended when the last course of the corresponding cycle has ended.

Adaptation to Degree from plans that have already been extinguished
Students who wish to adapt from already extinct degrees, study plans prior to 2001, to the degree study plans can apply to the following e-mail address: matdret@uv.es attaching a photocopy of their ID card from 12th June to 10th July 2023
Important:
By application of article 43 of the Universitat de València Enrolment Regulations for Degrees: once the adaptation has been requested, it cannot be waived.
