Information on professional practice Degree in Law

If the interested party holds one or more foreign university degrees that give access to the practice of a profession is analogous to the profession of Lawyer or Court Attorney, if they wish to practice their profession in Spain, it must be taken into account that the practice of these regulated professions is obtained after passing a qualifying Master’s Degree (MASTER’S DEGREE IN LAW PRACTICE), which is accessed through a specific Degree (DEGREE IN LAW).

Consequently, it is compulsory to partially validate the subjects passed in the programme of origin and, subsequently, to complete the studies of the Spanish programme of the Degree in Law.

Subsequently, the interested party may apply for HOMOLOGATION to the Spanish MASTER’S DEGREE that qualifies for the corresponding regulated profession, or may take the UNIVERSITY MASTER’S programme of studies that qualifies in Spain for the exercise of the regulated profession in question.

If the person concerned does not wish to exercise his or her profession in Spain, he or she may consider the option of applying for EQUIVALENCE at the Spanish Ministry of Education.
