On the occasion of the celebration of March 8th and March for Equality at the University of Valencia, the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication has prepared an extensive program of activities, organized by faculty and students. The range of activities is very diverse and interesting and you can consult the posters-agenda that we have prepared for the occasion. Also, remember that on the website of the Equality Unit of the University of Valencia you can consult the agenda of all the events that are organized in the various faculties and campuses of the #UV. This year, the institutional event prepared by the Vice Rectorate for Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Policies, will take place in the Sala de Grados of our faculty and will be dedicated to the “manosphere”, that mix of virtual spaces where misogynist and anti-feminist attitudes are spread. Academics, streamers and youtubers will participate, reflecting on situations they have experienced and on whether the creation of content made by women with traditionally male topics such as technology, video games or sports is making progress in equality. |

On the occasion of 25N, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, in the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication there are several activities planned for this week and next week. The institutional events of the UV begin at the Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, on November 21 at 12 noon with a round table entitled “#seacabo. New times for women in sport” with the participation of the professional skeet shooting athlete and current secretary of the Association for Women in Professional Sport, Pilar Calvo, the journalist and author of the ‘Manual of Journalistic Style of Women's Sport’ Anna Boluda, the director of the Chair ‘Dona i Esport’ UV-GVA, Maite Pellicer and the director of the Servei d'Esport de la Universitat de València, Ana Gómez. On Friday, November 24, at 1 p.m., in the Cloister of La Nau Cultural Center, the institutional manifesto will be read by the rector Mavi Mestre.
