Miguel Àngel Bisbal Blasco. Degree in Catalan Philology

6 june 2018

Choosing which degree to take is not an easy decision, Catalan Philology was one of my options, but I didn't know until I started studying that I had made the right choice. What I didn't know either was that I was going to enter a world that would become my life, my passion. It is in this degree that I have completely discovered our language and all that surrounds it. A language that links a history and a culture that makes us what we are as a people over the centuries.

And it was when I was studying Catalan Philology at the Universitat de València that I discovered research, a field that was totally new but at the same time absorbing, when I discovered new data while I was carefully observing a manuscript.

This is just a possibility. The publishing world, education or advice as a linguistic technician are also other very interesting options, but we will leave those for the future; for now I will keep the research.

All of this has been possible thanks to the teaching staff of the degree, who are among those who make you see with curious eyes what used to be simply a verse, an adjective or a phoneme.

And there's no need to talk about the new family I have. Not only have they been classmates, they are now my FiloCat family.
