Law 2/2009, of 14 April, of the Valencian Government, on the Coordination of the Valencian Scientific Research and Technological Development System, defines the General Strategic Plan for Science and Technology of the Valencian Community (PGECYT) as a development plan aimed at promoting and coordinating scientific and technical research in the Valencian Community.
The PGECYT has been structured into five general programmes that bring together the actions to be performed in order to achieve the strategic objectives set out:
- Institutional strengthening.
- Incorporation and training of research staff, technical staff and R&D management staff.
- Scientific, humanistic and social research.
- Technological development.
- Dissemination of research.
