On the next 30 October, the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences will hold a new edition of the Employment Forum of the Universitat de València, which will be the first stop of the 2023-2024 employment fair.
With nearly forty participating companies and entities, and hundreds of students expected to attend, this new meeting with the employment is expected to be a huge success.
In the morning, there will be plenty of panel discussions, talks and workshops that will open the doors to career opportunities to the future graduates of this centre. The activities will take place at the Assembly Hall "Charles Darwin”, the Graduate Hall and the room AF18, on the first floor of the Faculty. Likewise, the companies and entities will receive the students at the Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Among the different invited companies and entities, there will be biopharmaceutical companies, well-known cosmetic companies, consulting companies, public administrations, professional institutes and associations, research institutes, official master's degrees and NGOs. In addition, Universitat de València’s services will provide the students with support and guidance through the labour market.
The following noteworthy entities will also be in attendance: Fundació València Activa, Labora-GVA, Boston Nutraceutical Science, Farma Leaders Talent, MICOF, FARVAL, Normon Laboratories and FEDEFARMA. All of them will seek meeting and getting in touch with highly qualified profiles, as well as to take a stance on their commitment, search for talent and the development of Valencian society.
The University’s Employment Forum, organized by the Office of the Vice-Principal for Lifelong Learning, Educational Transformation and Employability and through UVocupació and the UV General Foundation, comes to the Faculty of Pharmacy with the aim of connecting students that are curious and interested in the labour market and the companies and institutions interested in meeting the professionals of the future.
Career Opportunities
The day will start with two panel discussions on career opportunities in the fields of Pharmacy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics and in Food Science and Technology. Each of them will be held in different rooms of the centre, led by the respective Degree Coordinators and will feature experts from both public and private sectors.
Afterwards, from 11:15 to 11:45, there will be a UVocupació workshop on the search of employment in the 4.0 environment by Silvia García Andreu, the Guidance Technician of the service, and a welcome session from the institution, with representatives from the centre and Universitat de València.
Starting at noon, different stands will be open to the public in order to receive students and give a picture of the nowadays labour market, as well as to inform about the different ongoing offers looking for university talent to take up highly qualified job positions. Likewise, the employment service of the UV will be present the whole morning.
Employment Forums 2023-2024
The Employment Forums of the Universitat de València will start this academic year’s campaign in the Faculty of Pharmacy, and will continue on 15 November, in the Faculty of Teacher Training. A celebration of ten meetings is foreseen for this academic year, organized with the collaboration of nearly 20 centres.
In the second term, the following meetings will take place: 29 January, Faculty of Social Sciences; 31 January, Faculty of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences; 9 February, Health Sciences at Blasco Ibáñez; 14 and 15 February, Faculty of Law; 22 February, Faculty of Geography and History; 28 February, Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences; and 30 April, School of Engineering ETSE.
