It is ranked the 309th institution globally, among the top 100 of Europe and it continues being the fourth Spanish University, thanks to its strength in research, educational quality and employment.

The Universitat de València (UV) stays, for another year, among the highest rated institutions of higher education wordlwide, according to the 2026 edition of the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). This ranking, known for relying exclusively on objective indicators, analyses more than 20.000 universities and posts the results of the top 2000.

In this edition, UV ranks 309th in the world, confirming the stability of its results in recent years. In the European context, the institution remains among the top 100 universities, while in the country it occupies the fourth position one more time, being consolidated as one of the public leading universities of Spain.

Evaluated indicators

The CWUR structures its evaluation in fourth main areas:

  • Educational quality (25%)

  • Employment rate of graduated students (25%)

  • Teachers’ quality (10%)

  • Research efficiency (40%)

In these indicators, the Universitat de València presents consistent results. Research efficiency particularly stands out, based on scientific production, the quality of publications, and the impact of the projects developed by teacher and research staff. In addition, UV maintains its position in the employment indicator, which shows the career path of graduated students.

The continuation of the Universitat de València in the CWUR highlights the strength of its academic and scientific activity, as well as its contribution to the Valencian public university system.
