The UV research groups (GIUV) are regulated in the 1st chapter of the Regulation ACGUV48/2013, which explains the procedure for creating new research structures. They are basic research and organizational structures that result from the voluntary association of researchers that share objectives, facilities, resources and common lines of research. These researchers are also committed to the consolidation and stability of their activity, work in groups and the capability to achieve a sustainable funding.
The research groups included in the previously mentioned Regulation are registered in the Register of Research Structures of the Universitat de València (REIUV), managed by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research. The basic information of these organisms can be found in this website.
Participants
Data related to research groups featured in various information dissemination channels shall not, under any circumstances, imply a statement or commitment regarding the employment or academic affiliation of individuals associated with the Universitat de València. Their inclusion is solely the responsibility of the group directors. Updates will be made upon request from interested parties.

Reference of the Group:
Description of research activity: The ARTEC group focuses its research tasks in the field of computer graphics. Within this area is focused on interactive 3D graphics, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Civil Simulation. In addition, the group works in related areas such as ubiquitous computing or intelligent environments. The group performs both basic and applied research tasks. In this sense, the group has applied simulation systems to training and research in human factors, emphasizing especially in driving simulators. This line of work has led to the development of hardware systems for immersive 3D projection supports, as well as motion platforms for the generation of gravitational-inertial keys with the development of mechanical actuators.

Scientific-technical goals: - Investigacion basica y aplicada en el campo de los graficos 3D tiempo real
Research lines: - Multimodal interaction systems.Development of human-computer interaction technologies making use of different communication channels between user and computer.
- Virtual reality.Research in the interaction paradigm based on immersive virtual environments where the user is isolated from the environment and introduced in a synthetic environment in order to perform a training or live a different experience. Includes use of specific devices.
- Augmented reality.Research in the field of Augmented Reality, where real world information is increased with synthetic information. Augmented Reality systems require position locators, creation of synthetic information (usually 3D environments), and systems that integrate the real world with the synthetic one.
- Real-time graphic and dynamic simulation.Development of software applications and simulation hardware technologies (including the construction and programming of motion platforms) for the simulation of vehicles and physical processes.
- Virtual Cultural Heritage and Digital Humanities using Mixed Reality.Development of ICT tools with Mixed Reality for the conservation, improvement, restoration, dissemination, and
promotion of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
- Design of ICT tools to improve the autonomy of people with Autism Spectrum Disorders.Design, development, and implementation of ICT tools to make life easier and improve the autonomy of people
with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) and other disorders that affect development and learning.
- Smart cities, open data visualization, and citizen participation.Design of systems that enable the visualization and management of open data and citizen participation through
intelligent algorithms within the framework of smart cities.
