The UV research groups (GIUV) are regulated in the 1st chapter of the Regulation ACGUV48/2013, which explains the procedure for creating new research structures. They are basic research and organizational structures that result from the voluntary association of researchers that share objectives, facilities, resources and common lines of research. These researchers are also committed to the consolidation and stability of their activity, work in groups and the capability to achieve a sustainable funding.
The research groups included in the previously mentioned Regulation are registered in the Register of Research Structures of the Universitat de València (REIUV), managed by the Office of the Vice-principal for Research and Scientific Policies. The basic information of these organisms can be found in this website.

Description of research activity: The phenomenon of 'cryptoginia' was first defined in 2020. This neologism, coined by Begonya Pozo and Carles Padilla (philologists and professors at the University of Valencia), has been translated into several languages and has made an essential contribution to the categorisation of all the actions that, over the centuries, have aligned to contribute to the concealment of women's contributions in any discipline. This research group brings together the knowledge of numerous researchers from various scientific fields and national and international institutions, with the aim of creating a complex, extensive, rigorous, enriching and flexible theoretical framework that allows us to address the works of women from any era and discipline, in order to adequately complete the cultural processes that, until now, we have only received in a partial form. The research generated by the group, focused on the gender perspective, will bring about change in educational institutions, contributing to the creation of more just and egalitarian social models.

Scientific-technical goals: - 1. Analysis of the discursive production and scientific and cultural contributions made by women from different periods and disciplines, despite having been systematically concealed within canonical structures.
2. Review, expansion and modification of the scientific and cultural heritage received through the incorporation of the study of marginal writings that have been neglected throughout different eras and cultural traditions.
3. Dissemination of academic research through connection with various socio-educational and cultural agents to ensure both the transfer of knowledge and the incorporation of new voices into reference and teaching materials at all educational levels.
4. Ensuring, through the fulfilment of the three preceding objectives, an education in equality within and outside our educational system to promote, in turn, change towards a more just and egalitarian society.
