Professor Mark Roberts

Mark Roberts is Professor of Economics at Pennsylvania State University, where he has taught since 1989. He is director of the Penn State Federal Statistical Research Center. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW). He has been Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and has been Research Fellow at the U.S. Census Bureau. He received his A.B. in Economics and Journalism from Syracuse University (US), his M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin (US). Prof. Roberts teaching and research fields are environmental economics, econometrics, statistics, industrial organization and empirical methods. He is Board Member of the Industrial Organization Society and Chairman of the Industrial Organization Conference. He belongs to the Executive Committee in the conference on Research in Income and Wealth and member of the panel measuring business formation, dynamics and performance at the NBER. He has also been member of the Census Advisory Committee in the American Economic Association. He has served as editor in the Journal of International Economics and associate editor in the International Journal of Industrial Organization, among other journals. He has published in Rand Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of International Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Development Economics, Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Labour Economics, Journal of Law Economics, and in many other journals.
