The Languages Service administers Portuguese CAPLE tests (Centro de Avaliação e Certificação de Português Língua Estrangeira) at the levels A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. CAPLE is an official certificate attesting the level of competence and command of Portuguese granted by the University of Lisbon.

Who can register for the test
CAPLE tests are open both to the university community and to the public.

University staff can ask for official language tests grants.
Recognition
CAPLE certificates are fully recognised by the University of Valencia, by the Portuguese government and by other international institutions and organisations.
Registration
2024 calendar, registration period and levels
There are different exams dates throughout the year with limited places available. The University of Valencia administers the tests offered in May and November of 2024:
