During these first weeks of on-line work, the students of the Legal Clinic for Social Justice of the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València has collaboratively worked from their homes in the preparation of this brochure. It provides a basic guide to help citizens to know their rights during the state of alarm.
This piece of work, entitled "Know your rights during the state of alarm", pursues one of the basic objectives of clinical legal education and street law programs, such as to empowerment of citizens by equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to successfully participate in the defense of their rights. In this sense, this work puts the defense of rights at the center of the social debate, as a means to achieve a more democratic society, an issue that cannot admit any exception, despite the urgency and seriousness of situations like the one we are experiencing.
