Biography

This is Jorge Lizandra Mora, PhD in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences from the University of Valencia.
At present I am Senior Lecturer in the Department of Teaching of Physical Education, Artistic and Music of the University of Valencia. I am also part of the Research Group Physical Activity, Education & Society (AFES).
My career has been mainly focused on the field of education, both as teaching and research staff at the University, as a teacher in secondary and vocational training, as well as in the private sector. In addition, I have taught both face-to-face, semi-face-to-face or online training, keeping a great interest in the pedagogical and methodological aspects of face-to-face and virtual teaching.
My main research fields are focused on the study of physical activity and health promotion, the interest in the improvement of teaching-learning processes and the study of the effects of new technologies both in the subject of physical education and its didactic.

Biography

Coordinator of the Degree in Pedagogy and Full Professor in the Department of Comparative Education and History of Education at the University of Valencia (UV), where she has been working as an academic, teaching, and researcher in various academic positions since 2005. A professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Alicante since 2001, she also holds a degree in Pedagogy from the Faculty of Philosophy and Educational Sciences at the UV since 2004. For the latter degree, she received first prize for academic promotion and second state prize in 2005 from the Valencian and state education authorities, respectively. She holds a PhD in "Education in Political and Social Studies" since 2010, following a four-year contract awarded to her doctoral proposal by the Valencian Council of Science and Technology. Her dissertation with European Mention obtained the Extraordinary Doctoral Award from the UV in 201 and the V Roselló Award for the best doctoral thesis from the Spanish Society of Comparative Education in 2012, opening a line of research focused on Early Childhood Education and Care from a comparative perspective. During the last decade, she has been working in various national and international networks and projects that focus on the study of this field. Dr. Ancheta Arrabal's interest and research focuses on the Right to Education, Children's Rights and the role of Education for equity and social justice. For this reason, she has also collaborated professionally in and with different entities, scientific-academic societies and NGOs, as well as being a member of the Analytical Sociology Laboratory (Edu) of the UV since 2018, the Spanish Society of Comparative Education and the Comparative Education European Society, and the GISBE and GRECIA research groups at the UV. Since 2014, Dr. Ana Ancheta Arrabal has been Secretary of the UV Center for Comparative Education, where she has promoted and implemented various scientific and academic activities, as well as dissemination activities on Comparative and International Education, the right to education, Children's Rights, global agendas for education, and the Global Campaign for Education, with which she has been cooperating since 2007. Finally, since 2022, she has been Director of the Postgraduate Program "University Expert in Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights" at the University of Valencia and is a member of the UNESCO-UV Chair on Global Education in the Mediterranean, which aims to promote peace, interculturality, and sustainable development in the Mediterranean area. Carlos Segura holds a degree in Mathematics (Extraordinary Prize), a degree in History of Art and a PhD in Didactics of Mathematics (Extraordinary Prize. He currently works as Assistant Professor (PAD) in the Department of Didactics of Mathematics at the University of Valencia.
Carlos Segura has worked as a teacher of Secondary Education (2010-2015) and as a teacher training advisor in the area of Mathematics, Science and Technology for the Conselleria d'Educació (2015-2023). He was also associate professor in the Department of Didactics of Mathematics from 2015 to 2023, when he joined as PAD.
His research focuses on Mathematics Education; in particular, modelling and applications in mathematics education, and problem solving and posing (use of multiple strategies, flexibility, errors and difficulties, affective aspects). He is also interested in the specialised knowledge of mathematics teachers. He has published in high-impact journals in the field and presented papers at major international and national conferences in mathematics education. He has carried out research stays at Harvard University and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
He has been involved in various projects related to the teaching of mathematics. Thus, he participates in the project to stimulate mathematical talent Estalmat CV and is part of the organising team of the IMMC-Spain competition, aimed at secondary and high school students. She has taught and coordinated numerous in-service teacher training courses for all educational levels with Cefire CTEM. He is also a member of the Education Commission of the Spanish Royal Mathematical Society.
