Objectives: 

To promote the use of languages (English, German, Italian, Portuguese, French, French, Chinese, Spanish, Valencian, Latin or Greek) in a creative way among students of 2nd cycle of ESO and Bachillerato.

Participants: 

2nd cycle ESO and Baccalaureate students.

Date and place: 

The person in charge designated for each centre will send the proposals to traulallengua@uv.es.

The deadline for submitting proposals has been extended to May 20, 2025.

Instructions for the centre: 

Registration: The deadline for submission of proposals is April 11, 2025. To confirm participation, the teachers responsible for the participating students must fill in the registration form (click on the link) and the document "Legal Authorisation". Send both documents by email to traulallengua@uv.es

Specific characteristics of each modality:  

TRAU LA LLENGUA: Comic Competition 

Comic Competition Rules [PDF].

  • The student will choose a specific theme for the comic that addresses one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (web link).
  • Each school can submit a maximum of five entries/comics.
  • The comic has to be written in English, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, Valencian, Latin or Greek.
  • The number of cartoons is free and they have to be presented in A4 format with a maximum length of 2 sheets (PDF document).

TRAU LA LLENGUA: Micro-story Competition 

Rules of the Micro-story Competition [PDF].

  • Writing a short story of 250 words maximum.
  • The students will choose a specific theme for the short story, which will be chosen from one (s) of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (web link).
  • Each school can submit a maximum of five entries/micro-stories.
  • The languages of the competition are English, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, Valencian, Latin or Greek.

TRAU LA LLENGUA: Micropoem Competition 

Rules of the Micropoem Competition [PDF].

  • Writing a free rhyming poem of 125 words maximum.
  • The student will choose a specific theme for the micropoem that addresses one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (web link).
  • Each school can submit a maximum of five entries/micropoems.
  • The languages of the competition are English, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, Valencian, Latin or Greek.

TRAU LA LLENGUA: Digital Short Story Competition  

Rules of the Digital Short Story Competition [PDF].

  • In this type of competition, students (in teams of a maximum of 4 people) produce a digital story lasting a maximum of three minutes.
  • Any computer programme can be used, such as PowerPoint, Keynote (Mac), Photo Story 3, Windows Movie Maker, iMovie (Mac), etc.
  • To improve the audio quality, it is recommended to use Audacity and record your voice with a microphone. The use of voice is compulsory.
  • The group will choose a specific theme for the digital story, which will be based on one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (web link).
  • Each school can submit a maximum of five digital stories.
  • The languages of the competition are English, German, Italian, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, Valencian, Latin or Greek.
  • The jury of the competition will evaluate the balance between technique and content, as well as originality and competence in the use of the languages.
  • At the end of each work must appear the credits (copyright of the sources used: music, images, etc.).
