Open to 4th year ESO students from all over the Valencian Community.
In the framework of the 14th Olympics of Philosophy of the Valencian Community we propose the activity: Philosophical writing. The aim is to promote the students' philosophical exercise and reflection on current issues of general interest.
The general theme will be the same as that of the Spanish Philosophy Olympiad (OFE): What is leisure?, which can be approached from different perspectives of the students' choice.
Participants
4th year ESO students from schools in the Valencian Community. Each school may submit a maximum of 5 essays by different authors.
Characteristics
Participants must write an essay related to the general theme of the competition.
- Arial format 12 pt.
- Line spacing: 1.5.
- Maximum length: 3 pages, cover page not included.
- Top and bottom margin: 2.5 cm.
- Left and right margin: 3 cm.
A winning entry will be selected according to the following criteria:
- Originality of approach (3 points)
- Argumentative coherence (2 points)
- Relevant philosophical contribution (3 points)
- Literary quality of the writing (2 points)
