Objectives
To stimulate the study of this subject among young people, to reward academic effort and excellence, to disseminate the History and Artistic Fundamentals and to serve as a meeting point between secondary education and the University.
Participants
All students from secondary schools enrolled during the 2024-2025 academic year in Art History, Artistic Fundamentals and/or Cultural and Artistic Movements of 2nd year of high school may participate. The maximum number of participants will be four per center. Participation is individual.
Contents
The contents of the program of the subjects of History of Art and Artistic Fundamentals of high school that appear respectively in Decree 108/2022 of August 5, 2022, of the Consell, by which the organization and curriculum of High School are established; and the curriculum published on the website of the Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment for the subject Cultural and Artistic Movements (consult here)
Test schedule
The exam will be taken on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Classrooms of the Faculty of Geography and History (Av. de Blasco Ibáñez, 28). Registered students will be summoned to the tests without the need for subsequent personal communication. Exceptionally, the date and time may be modified if circumstances so require; In that case, the centers will be informed in a timely manner.
Tests type
The exam will be anonymous and will last one hour. The test will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions that may include visual material and 4 reserve questions. Erroneous answers will not be deducted from the marks awarded. In the event of a tie in the final score, the reserve questions will be corrected. There will be three exam modalities for students coming from the subjects "History of Art" (Humanities and Social Sciences Bachillerato) "Artistic Fundamentals" (Bachillerato of Arts) and “Cultural and Artistic Movements” (General Bachillerato)”.
