Objectives

To encourage students' interest in this science, which is closely linked to the territory and which helps us to know and understand the world in which we live, both the natural environment and the human activities that take place in it.

Participants

The XV Geography Olympics of the Valencian Community (provinces of Valencia and Castelló) is open to all students enrolled in the 2nd year of high school who are studying Geography at any public, state-subsidised or private school in both provinces. Participation is on an individual basis. The maximum number of participants is four per school.

Contents

It will assess the degree of general geographic knowledge (physical and human) of the Spanish and Valencian territory, as well as the contents of the syllabus of the Geography syllabus of the baccalaureate that appears in Decree 102/2008 of 11 July 2008. DOGV 5806

Test type

The test will consist of 50 multiple-choice multiple-choice questions, which may include graphs, photographs and maps. Each question will have four options, only one of which is correct. Each error is worth 0.33 points (one third of the correct answer). Unanswered questions will not be taken into account. The test will last approximately one hour.
