"Welcome to Equality at the University of Valencia" is a project with which the Equality Unit wants to bring to new university students the resources related to equal opportunities between women and men and the prevention of gender violence.

Welcome to Equality ”began in September 2018 with the presentation of awareness videos on gender equality in the reception sessions of the 18 centers of our University.

Edition of 2019

Welcome sessions at the centers and workshops "Whoever wants me well, will make me laugh", "you don't get caught in the networks" and "Feminist Revolution" are the contents of this program that offers all three workshops, free of charge and with a certificate of attendance at all three campuses.

On the 24th, 25th and 26th of September, the 'clown conference' "Whoever loves me well, will make me laugh" takes place at the "Escuela de Payas @ s L @ s Hij @ s de Augusto".

A session that aims to ignite glances, emphasize behaviors and highlight consciences. It seeks to prevent situations of abuse, giving meaning to the positive and the recognition of the value of each person. Gender-based violence is approached from a different perspective, arousing interest and curiosity, and providing a fresh, stimulating and empowering option.

The workshop will address the fourth Feminist Wave in this 21st century and globalization and the use of social media have made possible a space for dialogue between women around the world. We will work on how to use social networks as a speaker for our ideas, how to generate attractive content that encourages social debate, where we can find interesting knowledge and skills to continue training and develop new strategies.
