Incorporating a transfer perspective in research at an early stage helps reduce the gap between social needs and research impulses and pave the way for the subsequent generation of formulas that consolidate effective transfer. The UV’s strategy of innovation and transfer must begin with a strong impetus in research with transfer potential while also implementing and developing tools to identify opportunities, recognise potential and specific areas of application and promoting the internationalisation of that research and transfer potential.
LAEVIT01 Promote strategic guidelines to encourage lines of research in innovative areas and foster interdisciplinarity by increasing the number of projects and developing a plan to promote and raise awareness of the range of new options and opportunities available to the teaching and research staff within the European framework.

Transfer is characterised by regular contact with users, which requires developing trust relationships that facilitate a deep understanding of their needs. Developing and coordinating the Institution’s relational capacities by promoting the institutional use of the existing network of relationships to establish internal and external synergies helps to reorient the focus of the R+D+I transfer process as a wide-ranging commitment. On the other hand, and in line with our Mission and Values, the UV must emphasise its transfer capabilities in areas such as attention to disability, gender equality, sustainability, health, solidarity and cooperation to project a differentiated image with respect to other organisations that compete in this field of activity.
LAEVIT03 Strengthen alliances with strategic partners to develop the UV’s innovation and transfer ecosystem by designing an action plan to attract innovative companies to work with the UV and the PCUV and increasing and strengthening collaboration with companies, public administrations and actors specifically related to innovation and transfer, especially those that incorporate the values of equality, diversity and sustainability.

LAEVIT04 Promote the dissemination of science regionally, nationally and internationally by increasing the visibility of the research work conducted by PDI at the UV, stimulating dissemination and scientific communication activities within the University, and updating the English version of our website, social networks and other institutional communication media.

Entrepreneurship is an essential factor in the transfer of knowledge from the academic environment to society and business. Developing entrepreneurial skills in students help significantly to increase their employability. On the other hand, promoting training programmes aimed at teaching and research staff must promote the transfer of research results and therefore the generation of workplaces linked to research with transfer to the productive sector. The creation of companies linked to the UV must be regulated clearly and transparently and mechanisms must be put in place to boost the value chain from research to wealth creation.
LAEVIT05 Develop the competences of the Innovation Centre by establishing actions aimed at attracting projects and start-ups. Design a linking protocol for companies that collaborate with the AgroTec business incubator (IAT). Encourage the development of other incubators with a high technological component.

LAEVIT06 Promote entrepreneurship among students through the creation of the Network of Pre-incubators of the University of Valencia while offering complementary training in entrepreneurship to students of any degree (bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate). Design an itinerary of programmes of accompaniment and training in entrepreneurship that favour the professional development of students and the creation of companies and support teaching staff interested in promoting student start-ups from any area of knowledge.
