VOP01 Adapt PDI to the aims and resources of the UV

People are the basis and the purpose of our institution. It is strategic, therefore, to develop a policy that facilitates improvement in all staff-related matters. A balanced distribution of resources must be ensured so that areas with a surplus can compensate for those with a deficit. However, additional allocations are also needed within the limitations established by funding and the legal framework. These priorities must be complemented by analysis and evaluation processes that help decision-making in human resources and staff professional development, with the ultimate aim of improving the public higher education service. The UV will also ensure that its staff management processes are implemented from the inclusive and equality perspective.

LAEVOP01 Plan and provide teaching and research staff based on a structural analysis of the situation and needs of the various areas of knowledge, taking into account the resource forecasts of the Multiannual Funding Plan and the new framework of the Organic Law on the University System.

LAEVOP02 Allocate available teaching staff appropriately to the teaching modalities of the official bachelor’s and master’s degree courses included in the course offerings for the academic year.

VOP02 Improve the stability, career progression and working conditions of the PDI

We must deploy policies that ensure that our human resources are motivated and committed to the University’s strategy and the public service we provide. This requires implementing processes to stabilise, develop and promote professional careers within the limitations of the budgetary and legal framework. We must also help to improve psychosocial and organisational work factors, work-life balance and occupational health and safety.

LAEVOP03 Facilitate the stabilisation of contracted teaching staff and accredited research staff as PDI and enable the promotion of permanent teaching staff.

LAEVOP04 Adapt the UV’s regulations to recent university legislation in relation to the contracting of substitute and associate teaching staff, teaching staff recruitment, teaching commitment and the development of PDI academic careers to ensure the adequate transition of PDI to the new legal framework.

LAEVOP05 Establish positive action criteria and measures for ensuring effective equality for all in access to teaching and research staff positions; analyse and correct inequalities in the use of academic time due to gender, age, disability, origin or ethnicity, and thus promote a healthy balance between personal, work and family life.
