The Joan Reglà Humanities Library will host on Thursday 24th February, a talk on Comic Research on the occasion of the inauguration of the Biblioteca Teórica del Comic (Theoretical Library of Comics) located on the first floor of the library, on the Reference Room.

The talk will be given by Antonio Altarriba, comics scriptwriter and writer, the University of Valencia lecturer Álvaro Pons, and the urban artist Barbiturikills.

Antonio Altarriba is a novelist, essayist and, above all, scriptwriter. This professor of French literature at the University of the Basque Country, together with cartoonist Kim, won the 2010 National Comic Prize for El arte de volar (The Art of Flying). Álvaro Pons, professor of the Department of Optics and Optometry, is the director of the Aula de Còmic of the Universitat de València and the person responsible for the donation of comics that the library has received and which forms part of the Biblioteca Teórica del Còmic (Theoretical Library of Comics). The urban artist Barbiturikills, widely known in Valencia for her large-scale interventions in public spaces, has created the mural that accompanies the donation of comics to the library.

The talk will take place at 6:30 pm in the User Training Room of the Biblioteca d'Humanitats Joan Reglà.
