The Evaluation Committee of the VI REBIUN prize for good practices in libraries, chaired by Carlos Hermenegildo Caudevilla, Vice-rector of Research of the University of Valencia and REBIUN Coordinator, has awarded the VI REBIUN Prize to ‘BiblioPOP: libraries committed to popular culture’ of the Library of L'ETNO, Museu Valencià d'Etnologia. This candidacy has been supported by the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació de la Universitat de València.
The purpose of the project has been to weave a network of library services committed to the mission of the ETNO Library, which is to become the informative reference of Valencian popular culture, as well as to disseminate it as a significant value for Valencian society.
The sponsorship of the 6th edition of the REBIUN Prize, with €3,000 and a diploma, is provided by the company Baratz. As every year, the award ceremony will take place during the XXXI REBIUN Conference, which this year will be held at the University of Jaén on 22 May.
Congratulations to the winning library for a project of great social interest!
