With the entry into force of the new Statues of the University of Valencia, the University Ombuds Office was created, by statutory mandate, providing the functions that were entrusted to the Tribunal de Greuges until then.
The University of Valencia's Ombuds Officer was elected by the University's Senate on 22 February 2005.
