The procedure described below is valid for both to sign or refuse to sign single or multiple documents at the same time. Notice the documents involved in the signing/refusing action must be previously selected, using the functionalities available in the documents folder.
To sign or refuse to sign documents follow the steps below:
- Display the pending document folder. Although this is the folder displayed by default after logging, you may have used other options to view other folder. Select the pending documents folder.
- View the document content. Before signing or refusing to sign a document, its content must be visualized to make sure of your decision. Click on the icon to view the document. The browser downloads a copy of the document and allows to visualize it.
- View the support documentation or reports of the signature. In case there are attached reports or support documentation, view them by accessing the archive icon.
- Select the document(s) to sign or refuse by clicking on the checkbox associated with the name of each document or by using the multiple selection functionalities available in the tab window.
- Select an action (sign or reject). Select the appropriate button from those available: "Cloud-based signature" (optional), "Sign" or "Reject".
Notice a "Server-based signature" button may appear, only available if the corresponding option in the "Configuration of Signatures" section have been previously configured. To use a server signature, the certificate must be uploaded and stored on the server, so that the electronic signature is done using this certificate.
We do not recommend its use. Even the certificate is on a University server, it does not meet all the requirements recommended by the ENS (Spanish national security scheme). To use a much more secure method, select the 'Cloud-based signature'. With this option, it is used the signature platform in the cloud (Deathstroke) of the ACCV (Spanish Electronic Certification and Technology Agency) belonging to the GVA (govern of the Valencian Community). The UV Computer Service recommends using this signature mechanism. It allows to sign on any device with no need to install the certificate in your browser or to depend on a reader. In order to use this signature option, your citizen's or civil servant's certificate must be lodged in the ACCV's signature cloud.
