To understand what the process of positioning the visible signature on a document consists of, it is necessary to understand two concepts with which the programme works:

Real signature: refers to the electronic signature of a document (non-visible electronic evidence). It can be placed anywhere in the document, but only ONCE. Its representation is a link to the data the signer has configured. If the document to be signed has only one page or several but you only want the visual signature to appear once, use this type of signature.

Virtual signature: used when a multi-page document requires a visual element that references the signature on several pages. Visually it is identical to the previous one, but its representation is a graphic superimposed on the original content of the document (similar to a traditional stamp). It can be included on all pages, if necessary.

By default, the programme positions the REAL SIGNATURE, once only, in a pre-set area as a footer on the last page of the document. Only if it is necessary to specify another configuration for this visual element, set a customised positioning.

Select the document to configure according to the document type (single or compressed). A preview of all the document pages is displayed.

Positioning the real signature

This type of signature can be positioned only in one place in the document. To change its default location follow the steps below: click on the "Real signature" button.

1. If the document contains several pages, select the page where to position the signature by clicking on the page selector or by using the links to move forward/backward pages.
2. Click on the left mouse button and draw a box in the desired area to place the signature. Once done, it can be precisely moved to a different location.
3. Check the preview of the document to see the signature location, once sure, save this configuration by clicking on the "Save position".
4. Confirmation is requested, indicating the type of signature selected (REAL signature and only on the current page).
5. Verify the real signature position (in BLUE colour) from the thumbnails representing the document pages.
6. A row detailing characteristics of the signature just placed is displayed.
7. Finish by clicking on "Back" to go back to the document pending signature screen and sign the document as usual.
