Description of research activity:
The TeLL-ME (Teaching and Learning Languages in Multilingual Education) research group was established to advance applied linguistic research focused on foreign language teaching within multilingual educational settings. TeLL-ME is grounded in two core principles: classroom-based educational research as its primary driving force, and interdisciplinary collaboration as its strategic foundation. Building on these pillars, the group carries out empirical studies that actively engage various stakeholders in the educational process¿including students, teachers, academic leaders, trainers, and other key actors¿in both secondary and higher education. The aim is to address the complex challenges faced by educators and institutions in multilingual contexts.   • Analizar programas educativos bilingues o multilingues
  • Investigar la implementacion y efectividad de metodologias activas e innovadoras en asignaturas vehiculadas en una lengua extranjera
  • Evaluar el impacto de herramientas tecnologicas y digitales como recursos educativos en el aprendizaje/enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras
  • Diseñar programas de formacion docente y materiales didacticos con el objeto de promover la transferencia de conocimiento
  • Estudiar los procesos de inclusion educativa, considerando la diversidad en la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras
 
Research lines:
  • Methodologies and teaching strategies applied to foreign language teaching and learning.Analysis of the impact that certain teaching methodologies and strategies can have on the process of teaching and learning a foreign language. Implementation of studies based on action research methodology in the classroom.
  • Advanced technologies applied to foreign language learning and teaching.Study of the impact of introducing various technological and digital tools such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, the use of MOOCs, virtual exchanges and other related applications in bilingual/multilingual teaching.
  • Diversity and inclusion in foreign language teaching and learning processes..Analysis of educational needs in language teaching and learning to ensure inclusion. Development of inclusive models.
  • Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI).Multivariate analysis of different elements and agents involved in the training process: teachers, students, academic managers, etc. The aim is to analyse the degree of foreign language acquisition, the needs of teachers and teaching materials.
  • Teaching Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP).Analysis of the impact that different tools and methodologies can have on learning English for specific purposes in students of different grades.
