These awards are aimed at recognising the best entrepreneurial proposals based on innovative ideas to solve the challenges in the field of agri-food in the 21st century.
The event will take place on 17, 18, 19, 20, 24 and 27 October, in the afternoon. This call is aimed at 2nd, 3rd and 4th year undergraduate, master's and doctoral students, and university graduates with a completion date after 1 June 2020 from universities in the Valencian Community. The first 50 people to register will take part.
The best ideas will be awarded prizes, so that the winning team's idea will receive a prize of €1500 and two runners-up prizes of €1000 will be awarded. In addition, each undergraduate student of the Universitat de València will receive a certificate of recognition of 1.5 credits for participating in the activity, which can be included in their academic transcript. The members of the winning teams will have the opportunity to incorporate the idea as an innovative project in the High Technology Incubator in Sustainable Agri-Food AgrotecUV.
In this collaborative activity, participants will form teams and will have to propose innovative solutions to challenges that will be posed to them on different topics related to agri-food, with the aim of responding to the demands for innovation in the agri-food field. During the conference, an entrepreneurship workshop will be held in which guidelines will be given for drawing up a business plan to put the innovative idea into practice in the chosen challenge.
The event will take place at the Eduard Boscà Science Library of the Burjassot Campus of the University of Valencia. Registration will be open until 7 October.
