On Monday, May 20, the Education Library hosted the presentation of Martín, on behalf of ASPANION, the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer of the Valencian Community. The event was attended, among others, by the president of the organization, Jesús María González Marín, the director of the SBD, Cristina Tomás Martínez, the director of the Education Library, Silvia Giner, and Ana María Botella Nicolás, dean of the Faculty of Education.
Martin is the image of children with cancer. He was born to help them understand the disease and to raise funds for the association. The purpose of bringing Martin to the library is to help raise funds so that they can continue to help those suffering from childhood cancer in the Valencian Community.
The event served to reflect on the importance of ASPANION's work and the need to raise awareness in the educational community about the group of people affected by childhood cancer.
