On Monday, September 8, the University of Valencia will host the official welcome sessions for Erasmus students arriving in the 2025-26 academic year. A total of 2,117 students will begin their stay in València thanks to the prestigious European mobility programme, which positions the UV as a leading university in hosting Erasmus students in Spain.
The event will take place at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry in three sessions (9:00, 11:00 and 13:00) and will mark the beginning of an academic and personal experience that enriches not only incoming students, but also local students, who share a campus that is increasingly international and multicultural.
During the day, international students will receive practical information about the UV’s services, facilities and activities, as well as their official Certificate of Arrival. This year, the main countries of origin are Italy, Germany and France, although cultural diversity will be very broad.
University services supporting international students
Several university services will participate in the welcome sessions, including UVesports, the Centre d’Idiomes and the Servei de Llengües i Política Lingüística, which will set up information stands.
The Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació will also be present, distributing leaflets with key information about library services and resources for Erasmus students, while introducing them to the facilities and opportunities offered by the UV libraries.
With this event, the University of Valencia reaffirms its commitment to being an open and international institution, offering visiting students a warm welcome and a wide range of opportunities.
