UVdiscapacitat Programs

UVdiscapacitat offers a set of comprehensive programs designed to guarantee equal opportunities, inclusiveness, and universal accessibility at the Universitat de València. From psychoeducational counseling and support resource management, to awareness actions, volunteering, and personalized attention for PDI, PTGAS, and PI, we work to remove any barriers and support the entire university community.

Psychoeducational counseling

Within this program, information is provided regarding current UV regulations, fee waivers, reserved places, scholarships, and ERASMUS grants for students with disabilities.

Furthermore, the needs and adaptations for students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) are evaluated, and proposed adaptations are sent to the teaching staff through a Technical Adaptations Report (ITA).

Equalization of opportunities

This program focuses on the administration and management of technical and human resources required to provide support to students with disabilities, subject to availability. Providing all these resources represents a key measure toward equal opportunity within the university.

Awareness, training, and volunteering

The goal of this program is to encourage both the university community and external institutions to take an active role in the inclusion of people with disabilities. It promotes information, training, counseling, and awareness campaigns regarding disability, while encouraging participation in university volunteering through enriching experiences.

Universal accessibility

One of the goals of the Universal Accessibility program is to support the transition toward a more accessible university for everyone. To this end, it focuses on eliminating existing barriers and obstacles across UV campuses. Its work is structured around three dimensions: Physical Accessibility, Electronic Accessibility, and Communication Barriers.

PDI, PTGAS and PI Service

Through this program, UVdiscapacitat provides advice on positive action and equal opportunity measures promoted by the Universitat de València, aimed at Technical, Management, and Administrative and Services Staff (PTGAS), Research Staff (PI), and Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) with disabilities.
