What types of accommodations should be implemented?

The academic accommodations to be implemented are those listed in the student's Technical Accommodations Report (ITA) communicated by UVdiscapacidad.

For more information on the catalog of accommodations at the UV, you can consult the specific protocol of the Universitat de València and the recommendations of the SAPDU Guide.

According to current higher education regulations (LOSU), accommodations and reasonable adjustments can never alter the core learning outcomes of the subject.

IMPORTANT: If students request other accommodations NOT included in the ITA, please contact UVdiscapacidad.

About the ITA report

The ITA details the academic accommodations and support needs authorized for students with disabilities or specific educational support needs (SEN).

Students must request every academic year that this report be communicated to their teaching staff. Generally, the deadline is November 15th, or February 28th for newly admitted students.

Teaching staff can consult this report via Aula Virtual. The information it contains is the reference point for applying the corresponding academic accommodations. The ITA should be checked before the start of each semester and assessment period, as unexpected situations may arise outside these deadlines.

Below you will find an infographic with the steps to consult the ITA report.

Exams support: use of computers from the Faculty or UVdiscapacidad

Students may have authorized in their ITA the use of a computer during exams as an academic accommodation.

Students are not allowed to use their personal computers, nor will they have access to the Internet, spell checkers, or any other tools not authorized for the rest of the students.

To learn about the full procedure, consult the infographic with instructions and steps to follow for managing this accommodation.
