The insertion of links in the texts published on the Universitat de València's web portals is not only a way of completing the original information, but also a strategy to improve the visibility and positioning of the publication.

The toolbar available in the text editor of the Universitat's web manager includes the symbol corresponding to the 'Create/Edit Links' function, with which we can link any word or phrase to an external website (including multimedia platforms for viewing videos) or make it easier to send an e-mail to a given address with a single click on the link. Selecting the word or phrase to link to and clicking on the link icon gives us the option to choose the type of link, either a url or an email address.
It is necessary to take into account the types of manager elements we are working on, because the options for inserting links vary. A Free Text has only one text box with its corresponding toolbar, but in the News we will find a space called 'Resum' (which would correspond to the news leader) in which there is no option to edit the inserted text, so the links can only be inserted in the central body of the News: 'Ampliar novetat'.
In the 'Gaseta Recerca' element, on the other hand, the text editing toolbar will appear both in the lid (Abstract) and in the central body of the publication. It should also be taken into account that in the 'New' element there is the option of generating a single 'home page link' in a separate space that is displayed on the cover of each website, although this option tends to disappear with the new design that is being implemented in the Universitat's digital publications. In fact, the option that existed until now of inserting up to three cover links has been reduced to one, although it is preferable to generate a link in the text, above all because with this method as many links as desired can be inserted.
