Can we count the clicks on our links?

The number of clicks on a link to a publication on the corporate web portals of the Universitat de València (UV) can be useful to know the preferences of readers and define the type of publications that arouse greater interest.

visualisations of our publications

It is very easy for UV editors to set up a system to count the number of click a link receives, which will give us an idea of the visualisations of our publications, and of the attractiveness we have we have created through the links disseminated in social media, mailing, or in other publications.
To adjust the click counter, any UV user can access the url shortener available at https://links.uv.es/, where you can generate a short link from any url, either from a pdf file or from your own or other external web addresses. The link shortener gives us three results to choose from, from which a QR code can also be obtained. The short link can be removed or modified, but in no case will it affect the source url (the long one), which will remain valid.
With this, we can start to spread our link and generate traffic. To check the performance of the link, we must consult the statistics option available in the ‘Manage links’ menu, where we can see the clicks obtained by the link with a time graph in which we can check up to the previous one hundred weeks.
In the list of links, we can also edit them, delete them or access the source page. Also sort them by link name, date of creation and number of clicks.
