The translation team of the Web and Marketing Unit assists with the English translation for all users of the Universitat de València's web management system. This way our university can guarantee that all of its institutional and corporative websites are available in three linguistic versions; Spanish (castellano), Valencian (Valencià) and English.

This is a collaborative team made up of both permanent staff and students participating in paid internships. Those students are completing their training in a dynamic and innovative environment, working with mentors who provide them with guidance, supervision, and hands-on learning, thereby helping them prepare for their future careers. During the internship, they are becoming familiar with use of the newest translation tools like MemoQ or AI, created for developing the productivity and the quality in translation and localization projects.

Don´t lose sight of the fact that having a good English translation of all the university’s web pages is important for several reasons:

  • Global accessibility: the Universidad de València is working with students, professors and researcher from all over the world. Having a translated website allows to facilitate the communication and integration in the university community.
  • International reputation: a well-translated website shows the professionalism and the commitment to the university with a culture and linguistic diversity. This can improve the reputation of the institution on the international level and attract students, professors and researchers from all over the worlds.
  • Attracting international students: our campuses seek international students to increase diversity on campus and enrich the academic environment. A translated website can be a powerful tool to reach those prospective students and provide them with the information they need to make informed decisions about their education.
  • Effective communication: A properly translated website ensures effective communication with all members of the university community who may not be fully proficient in the university’s main languages. This is crucial for the spreading academic and administrative information, news about events, academic programs, research opportunities, and other relevant information.
  • Regulatory compliance: in the case of projects or other initiatives funded by external entities such as the European Union, having a website translated into English may be necessary to comply with the regulations of certain funding programs.

Overall, having a strong translation team for our university’s website is essential to ensuring accessibility, effective communication, and the institution’s international reputation, all of which can contribute to its success and academic excellence.
You can request support from this team through the tiquetingUV system as long as you are a user of the web content management system; if you are not yet a user, the person responsible for the corresponding website must request access for you.

However, please note that translation support is offered only for the translation of content that appears directly on the website and not for separate documents, even if they are linked.
