Academic, scientific or professional interest:

The main aim of the Degree in Mathematics is to teach students to recognise the presence of mathematics in various areas of our environment: nature, science, technology, business processes, art, etc, and provide them with the tools needed to apply their knowledge to them. As a result, professionals are trained to contribute their knowledge to other disciplines such as engineering, biological and health sciences, economics, social sciences, etc.

Worth Noting:

As regards optional subjects, students are given the chance to carry out external internships (9 credits) which will allow them to get closer to the labour sector related to the Degree in Mathematics.

In order to enrol for the subject External internships, it is necessary to have passed 180 credits from the available compulsory and optional subjects.

The degree’s final project can be based on the external internships that the student carries out. However, the project and internships are always graded separately.
