Workshop series scheduled in the fifth edition of the ACTIVA CULTURA call for applications for UV students
Memelab is a project that explores digital culture and forms of online humor through practical workshops focused on creation and analysis. Rather than focusing solely on meme production, the project frames this phenomenon as a contemporary cultural expression—a language of digital folklore through which to interpret everyday life. In other words, from a hands-on perspective, Memelab proposes a critical approach to digital culture and networked humor. Structured around dynamics of research and experimentation, the workshop addresses the meme as a cultural device capable of reflecting, questioning, and re-signifying current social narratives, highlighting its symbolic, communicative, and political dimensions.
