More than 700 specialists will participate in this international meeting on anaerobic digestion and sustainable waste recovery.
From 9 to 13 June, the Valencia Conference Centre will hold the 19th edition of the IWA AD19 International Congress, one of the main international meetings on anaerobic digestion and sustainable waste recovery. The event is held for the first time in València and for the second time in Spain.
The congress will gather more than 700 specialists of the scientific, business and institutional fields to tackle technologies able to transform organic biodegradable waste into value-added resources.
The programme will set the focus on issues such as biorefineries, circular economy, knowledge, and the development of new applications beyond biogas, currently the most mature technology of the sector.
Additionally, aspects related to technological, economic, social, and environmental viability of these solutions will be tackled, as well as new strategies for waste recovery and for reducing its fate to landfill.
During the different events, specialised workshops, scientific sessions, and spaces for knowledge exchange between research staff, businesses, and the participating institutions will be held.
