The University of Valencia, among the 200 most visible in the world on the Internet and the best in Spain in Economics, Business and Tourism
The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, a classification by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) that measures the presence and visibility of institutions on the web, has placed the University of Valencia (UV) as the second best in Spain. The Valencian centre also ranks 195th worldwide, in line with the result obtained a few weeks ago in the Shanghai ranking, the most prestigious in scientific production, and which placed the UV among the 300 best in the world. In another ranking, the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), the institution is first in Spain in up to four areas, three (Economy, Business and Tourism) being the main ones in the Faculty of Economics.

The number of articles by female scientists of the University of Valencia increases by 13.34% in one year, according to the CWTS Leiden Research Performance Ranking
The CWTS Leiden Ranking measures scientific impact and collaboration, open access publication, and gender diversity from a ranking of universities selected by the number of publications indexed on the Web of Science over a four-year period. According to the June update, at the Spanish level, the University of Valencia (UV) is the fourth best in both the full and the fractional counts. 12,856 articles written by women have been measured in gender indicators, 13.34% more than in 2021

The University of Valencia, first in Spain in Chemistry and second in Physics, according to the Nature Index ranking
The University of Valencia (UV) is the first Spanish higher education institution in Chemistry, and second in Physics, according to the subject version of Nature Index, a database of information on researchers and basic research articles published in a group of 82 high-quality scientific journals in the natural sciences. In addition, the institution ranks 154 among the 500 classified institutions in the world, and is third in Spain. In the Nature & Science group of journals, it is fifth in the State.

The University of Valencia, among the top 100 universities in the world in achieving four of the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The University of Valencia (UV) has entered the group of six Spanish universities that lead the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), according to THE University Impact Rankings, a world ranking of the performance of higher education institutions for this purpose. The Valencian centre also ranks 8th in the world in education, 20th in reducing inequalities between and within countries, 47th in peace and justice, and 88th in health.

The University of Valencia, second in Spain in number of highly cited scientific articles the two months following their publication
The University of Valencia (UV) is the third Spanish higher education academic centre in number of citations of scientific articles and highly cited articles, according to the InCites Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database. It is also second in the number of highly cited articles the following two months after their publication in relation to those in their area (Hot papers) and fourth in the number of articles in general. In addition, the UV increases the number of citations of its articles by 14.89% compared to 2021, reaching 703,348.

The University of Valencia, third Spanish higher education centre in the Transparent Ranking of scientific production
The University of Valencia (UV) is the third Spanish higher education centre and the first Valencian one in the latest update of the Transparent Ranking: Top Universities by Citations in Top Google Scholar. The classification tracks the citations of the scientific articles of each author and compared to 2021, the institution has increased the number of citations by 371,063 (27.92%).

The University improves in visibility on the Internet and is already second in Spain in the CSIC Webometrics ranking
The Web Ranking (Webometrics) of universities is an initiative of the CSIC’s Cybermetrics Lab research group that analyses 11,998 entities and measures their presence and visibility on the web. According to the latest update, the University of Valencia (UV) improves one position and is already the second Spanish centre of higher education, in addition to the first Valencian one. At an international level, it ranks 187 and by indicators, in impact/visibility, or number of external networks that the UV receives, it improves 66 positions compared to 2021 and reaches the world position 249.

The University of Valencia improves in the URAP ranking of scientific production, where it is the third Spanish centre and the first Valencian one
The University of Valencia (UV) is the third Spanish higher education institution, the first Valencian one and improves positions on a European and international scale, according to the latest update of the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), which measures the quality and quantity of the scientific publications from up to 3,000 universities around the world. Compared to the previous edition (2020-2021), the Valencian centre climbed to 210th place in the world, after advancing 7 positions, while at the European level it climbed one, to 85th.

Dolors Corella, Artemi Cerdà, Pablo P. Boix, Gustau Camps-Valls and Francisco J. Barba, researchers at the University of Valencia, are listed in the Highly Cited Researchers 2021, a ranking with the world’s scientific elite in terms of the number of citations of their work on research, according to bibliometric data provider Clarivate Analytics.

The University of Valencia, among the twelve best in the world in Agricultural Sciences in the Best Global Universities ranking
The University of Valencia (UV) has improved for the fourth consecutive year internationally in the Best Global Universities research ranking and is advancing 14 positions this year, to 212 in the world. In Europe, the institution climbs to 88 (9 positions). In Spain it remains the fifth best and is the first Valencian one. By subjects, the UV occupies the twelfth world position in Agricultural Sciences (first in Spain) and is the 68th in the world in Environmental and Occupational Health, in addition to being first in the Valencian Public System in 21 of the 27 classified subjects.
