The functions of the Technology, Standardization and Systems section are, among others:

Maintenance of the Alma library management program with which circulation tasks (loan, renewal and reservation of documents), cataloging, acquisitions, serial control, and design and administration of the Trobes catalog are carried out.
The study and implementation of new system functionalities.
Normalization of authors and subjects. Study and updating of cataloging standards and norms.
Establishment of guidelines to unify the cataloging and collection management tasks.
Training, support and updating of staff in all these tasks.
